I had no idea that law passed in NJ. Imagine if I was driving out there, came across one of these stonies, on the road, and had an altercation. SMH...

I’m getting closer and closer to this. Just don’t have the time anymore with family obligations.

Need to look into this, had an odd combined click and squeak in the accessory drive area yesterday that has changed into just a squeaky noise today that gets louder when warmed up, and with RPMs. The click made me think idler pulley, odd that that stopped and I only have a squeak now. If I just had the squeak I'd be thinking belt due to the frigid temps and salt dust and grime in the roads. Only 33k miles, so hopefully just a belt/idler pulley issue. I'll break out the stethoscope and listen to the idlers and accessories this weekend, and try to get a good look at the belt, it's supposed to be a bit warmer out.

What mileage have you guys seen serpentine belt/idler pulley issues pop up on the 3.5? My past experience on other engines has been higher miles than 33k.

Any aftermarket brands to prefer for belt and idler pulleys if needed, or just go OEM?

I just changed my belt and most of the pulleys back in the fall on my 2017 TRD OR Access Cab. Odometer was around 154000 klms. I only notice 1x pulley that felt like as was wearing out and the belt was actually in quite good condition. I expect another 150000+ klms before I have to do it again.

Itty bitty mud flaps to match my wife's car! I think I need an itty bitty overland ladder now. In all seriousness, I love the look of the Ark product. Now I just need to watch the spray pattern and see if they are doing their job. Hardware had machined threads as opposed to the "self tapper" OEM hardware so I reused the OEM hardware. Not wanting to strip the plastic mounting inserts. I've found Toyota plastics to be less than robust compared to Subaru. Even the horn button has visible creases in it.

Gonna get their fender liners as well. Their material is the same as Rally Armor. And Rally Armor Mud Flaps rule.

So, funny story, they originally sent me the liners instead of what I ordered (the mud flaps), and they said I can just keep them because they made a mistake. I installed them over the weekend and they are really nice. 20250217_124118.jpg

Mine arrived yesterday. I was hoping the "warm" weather on Sunday would allow me to do my oil change, but I don't think the snow will melt off before then.

As far as my experience goes... One really can't afford NOT to purchase OEM...

    Looks good.
What's the story on those tires? They look pretty beefy for 265s. Wondering who makes em and how they are in different situations.

So they’re Open Range A/T made by Les Schwab. I said the same thing that they look beefy, they’re the same as the factory take offs, I’m thinking maybe it’s due to the black portion of the wheel? We have ran these Open Ranges on her Ford Explorer and my Ram 2500 previously and they did great. We shall see how they do on the Runner…

Drove it about 4 miles today down the bypass to MidsouthShootersSupply and bought 2 boxes of 115 gr Blazer 9mm for 11.99 a bx.

    Lol!!!

Waiting for the weather to warm up to shave my air dam.

Went thru 2 AVS bug rock deflectors .
1st one warped and ill fitting as hell.
Leaving my weather stripping open in areas around the hood into my engine compartment.
Tried to make the 2 hood adjusters work adjusting them.
    Nope.
Returned it to Auto zone next day.
Inspected this 2nd one at the store
    It seemed straight.

Nope the 2 outer mount tabs on side of hood
    One angled up.
    Other angled down.
Lot of contact with hood on edges.
Returned that and took pics of it to show the mo mo employees at autozone.
Got my money back and bought M855 ammo at midsouth .

Seems that auto zone had these in stock since 2021 after I asked them how long these been here..
Slip shod covid era QC IMO.
Taking them out of injection moulds way too warm probably and workers NGAF or the QC guys...

Just gonna try a weather tech....
Actually been looking at guys 3rd gens with a bug deflector if I see one in a parking lot where ever.
The weathertechs do seem to fit correctly and the weather stripping seals the engine compartment better also.
