Hey guys question- I’m replacing u joints and carrier bearing tomorrow. I have u joint press and all rest of tools as well as tire chocks. Wasn’t planning on lifting rear if I didn’t have to. Do I chock the front tires and put in neutral? What if I need to spin to get one of the bolts?
    Any help is appreciated Tia!

If you need to spin driveshaft to access bolts for removal/installation, You’ll still need to lift rear to spin tires in order to spin driveshaft. Or roll the truck forward/back. I’d chock front and put stands under rear axle if you have the means. Remember to mark the shafts and the yokes before you disassemble so it doesn’t get reassembled out of phase, or you could have vibration issues later

Alright will do. So with the rear lifted and front tires chocked, leave it in park until i need to access bolts on top then put in neutral to spin?

I didn’t need to put in neutral at all. The bolts arent that hard to get to imo.
