So I’ve already done some digging on here to try and find if anyone has had this issue before but my issue seems a little different.

I am hearing a popping/cracking noise coming from the drivers side at my feet. I don’t have a broken strut and I don’t have a mud flap. The noise happens more when I am going under 50 and also when I turn. Has anyone had this issue resolved before? Thinking maybe CV joints? Help

I had that happen with a cat shield. Rubber washers took care of it. Do you have any armor on your truck?

I’d make sure the skid plate is tightened to the correct specs. I’ve had them bang and pop if too tight. Past that, get someone to look at the suspension.

So I had my guy take a look and as soon as he got under he went to touch the heat shield and it just fell to the ground. Hoping that was the issue lol

It was not that simple struts seem to be worn for whoever has had this issue
