IMG_7904.jpg IMG_7905.jpg Hi everyone! Just purchased a 2017 Tacoma limited and I’m a little bit stumped about this one. I got two braincells and they are working overtime trying to guess what these pins/bolts above the bed rail are for. I’m assuming they aren’t stock and they are for a bed rack. Anyone have any experience with this? Also, what is the easiest fix to delete them?

OEM tonneau side latch connect points. Threaded item is for securing(anti theft) the OEM tonneau.

    You can remove the items:
Pry off the plastic bed rail covers, remove the plastic covers (item 24) surrounding each exposed stud (item 23), remove the two torx bolts for each latch point, remove the latch points/threaded point and resnap in the bed rails. 15 minute job.

You may want to soak the torx bolts with penetrating oil. These bolts may possibly be a bit rusty.
