I’ve been recently dealing with this issue with my blind spot monitoring lights flickering. They shouldn’t be on at all because I have installed an high-clearance bumper and no longer have those sensors. I believe it’s a short of some kind but it doesnt proceed to leech when the truck is powered off. This flickering has only on one occasion worked its way to my transmission display on my dash and would flicker between drive and reverse. Accompanied by this my backup camera would kick on and off. Is there a way to delete the bsm circuit from the truck? I’d love to just disconnect the fuse for it but per what I understand it’s tied to the 7.5A ECU no. 2 fuse. Any suggestions for fix? Anyone experienced this issue before?

No clue about the backup camera.

    Clarify bolded above, unintelligible.

There are at least two fuses that power the BSM system:
    ECU-IG No. 2
    IG1 NO. 2
A third if you consider the backup lights on BKUP LP No. 3

For your mirror indicators to light there must be voltage supplied to the wires that feed the LEDs in the mirrors. Each was fed directly from each of the BSM Modules.

When you removed the two BSM Modules in the ears of the bumper, did you cap the connectors to seal out water and dirt? The circuits that are still live to the connectors are:
    CAN
    Backup lights, i.e. Reverse.
    12volts
Switched 12 volts via the dash switch.

The BSM Modules interface with the backup lamps to turn on the cross-traffic function. The backup light feature goes directly to the left BSM to tell the truck is in reverse.
Did you remove the BSM switch on the dash? Make sure it is in the off position.

I had the bumper installed by a shop, doesn’t appear they did. I cleaned the inside of them with contact cleaner and left it overnight to dry in my garage. It appears to still be completing the circuit. Will try removing the 3rd lamp fuse and see if that anything. The Bsm button is still in the dash and is in the off positon. At this point I’m afraid of it starting a fire so I’m going to probably bring it to the dealer and see what they say. Currently trying to narrow it down for them so that way I can maybe save some time haha
