I’ll bite…what is your concern? No one can tell you if you’ll have problems with your Tacoma; some do, the vast majority don’t. Most people generally think extended warranties are a waste of money, but there is debate there.
Buy from Carmax where you’ll get a 4K warranty?

I'd hold out for a new 2024 or 2025. IME a 2-year-old Tacoma is usually around $2000 less than a new one.

There are no major problems with those trucks. But the 3.5 engine they put in them mated to the transmission is not a good match. That engine needs a lot of RPM to get any power and the transmissions spend a lot of time shifting up and down to stay in the engines power band. It doesn't hurt anything, and both the engine and transmission hold up well. It's just that a lot of people find it annoying.

The newer 4th gen trucks put out more torque and do it at about 1/2 the rpm of the 3rd gen trucks. It should be a lot better engine. And you'll probably find the price difference isn't much more for 2 model years. Especially since you will get a better interest rate and the factory warranty.
