This was a big rabbit hole that spanned multiple threads, we never really did get to what all really happened but the last update was the ECM was replaced for an unrelated code (P0038 O2 heater control circuit high (bank 1 sensor 2)) and the truck is operational again.

What issues are you having with yours?

I have a 2007 2tr long story short the old motor had a blown head gasket so I swapped it out with a motor that only had 88,000 miles on it. I personally swapped it out myself and it ran good. I just had that PO 420 code. I ran a bottle of Cataclean stuff truck was smoking after I put that in but from my research online, it said I should only smoke for the first couple miles. Well, I would start my truck in the morning and see smoke. I would cut it off at a store. Come out five minutes later start up and see smoke out exhaust I was scared to even check the coolant or oil level. a few days later it was time to get gas again and once I topped my gas off with fresh stuff and no cataclean in it that stopped. I got a new magna flow catalytic converter assembly installed. Haven’t seen any smoke on startups until last two morning yes the weathers god maybe 20 degrees cooler and more humidity in air but it’s got me worried. It goes away after about 20 seconds. It’s like a whitish gray smoke, but it smells strong to me shit will almost knock u on ur ass like strong rich fuel mix. Didn’t know if maybe my mass airflow sensor needs cleaning or if I should’ve replaced the upstream O2 sensor when I did the catalytic converter. I have 0 codes no misfires nothing just worried didn’t know if injector oring may be cause either or just something causing a richer then needed fuel mixture at initial startup
Thank you for always replying and willing to help

Not unusual for it to blow white smoke when it's cold out, nearly every vehicle will.

Also gona be super rich on inital start in very cold temps, if you have no codes and it runs fine I wouldn't be too concerned.

    Correct may
I appreciate it and I am with you on that. Especially after paying attention to other vehicles around me and the stuff out of there exhaust. Just had me worried next step I am not seeing no more than 16 miles per gallon with this truck. I bought it to quit driving my diesels and save on fuel, but hell this thing is worse. About 15.95 mpg is most I’ve seen out it
no check engine lights or none of that brand new plugs. Air filter is good truck runs damn good. I don’t drive it over 3000 RPM. I just don’t know I don’t want to just throw parts at it but everything on this truck besides the motor has 354,000 miles. Did do that new cat converter assembly but used old 02s as there was no codes for them. Thought about putting in a new 02’s and seeing what that does or maybe MAF IS DIRTY Running penz PLAT FS 5/20
