Loading Atv question

Has anyone loaded a kodiak 450 and did it fit between the wheel wells of a long bed? My calc says about 3 inches too narrow on the truck, but I saw video where it fit. Video showed Kodiak, but wasn't sure if it was a kodiak 300 in the video I saw. I need to transport one on March 1st. My trailer is burried under 2 ft of snow in the back yard.

I have had my 2009 Honda Foreman 500 in the bed of mine without issues multiple times since it was new. You can check sizes if no one replies back on same machine.

 

It would be nice if we could get some Snow, Or Rain down here!!!! Last moisture we had was back in November. And they don't show anything in the Long Term forecast.

 

I have not actually loaded my 2014 Grizzly 450 on the truck but I did measure at one point. With the stock tires it should barely fit thanks to a slight slope of the wheel wells. You won't be able to put the tailgate up. You may be able to lift it up partway after loading.

I have a 3rd gen short box tacoma and a 2019 yamaha kodiak 450 4x4. It fits in between the wheel wells. Just be careful loading. Don't run it into the back widow lol. I have a headache rack to protect my rear widow when I haul the quad around.

 

Thank you Mike, I will watch the back window. I have a sports bar, but it might just sneak under according to the height.

 

I agree with watching the back window. I have a headache rack also. The problem I had was the Roller for the winch was just about going to take out the slider.

 

Honda Rancher 350 4x4 fits in a short bed.

I have a 2021 Kodiak 750 EPS and it fit's in my 2017 short bed with the back tires on the tailgate.

 

One thing is, Remember these tailgates arent very strong, Mine was definitely Tweaked from my 4 wheeler loading and unloading. I ended up Buying one of the Tailgate Plates on here before my Gate folded in half.
