I was told in no uncertain terms when I started that there was absolutely no overtime. Whatever I didn't get done today would be waiting for me tomorrow.

I'm perfectly alright with that.

Up until I came here 4 years ago I was a you can keep the overtime guy. Then right out of the gate by necessity I was working 50 every week, 60 if I wanted it. I budget like I work 40 but it's hard to forget what those 60-60 checks looked like. We've slowed down some but the nature of this kinda work, lots of companies want to do our part on the weekends so they can clear the high bay for prop loading, not stop the daily production guys and nobody is around to be sniffing about. I personally love that my overtime is early in on the front end, I just lose sleep. In at 0315 or 0445,I still get off by 1530 and get to spend the afternoons with my family.

i'm on voluntary 10's (though friday he cuts us out early, so 48.5hr overall weeks). as in, anyone that wanted to work it had to talk to the boss to set it up and have decent enough productivity numbers to justify it.

but same thing. my 'hard' financial commitments are still using the math for 30-40 hrs a week, so the extra is bonus money that comes in handy for a lot of stuff, mostly all my ideas and side projects--i always save money going into work and working on others projects. my weekends are always the most expensive part of my week.

it works out for me because i was basically working 12's at my previous job in time from home, but only getting paid 8-9 hours, with the rest in drive time to/from the job. now i'm still around 12 hours away from home, but getting paid 10, and its' voluntary. if i decided i'd rather have the time instead of the money i can drop back down to 8's and be away from home for only 10 hours a day.

it'd really help if i got some cheaper hobbies!

Hose reel by the front door, with a drain.

Had this gauge so I figured why not use it. It’s near the reel, and we’re live!

@six5crèéd - I thought we were going to have to have the talk.

The one about water and electricity not mixing.

A little power and water never hurt anybody, kilt a few. They never felt it.

Paid off mommas Mdx and my credit score goes down 17 points. Makes total sense.

You ever seen a turd this big @PzTank ?

My life in a reel. :fistbump:

I wanted to put an alternator on a Farmall tractor, I had a perfectly good one I took off a car 25 years ago...

After 3 hours of searching I found it.

It’s amazing that you remember things happened 25 years ago; I couldn’t remember what I ate yesterday. :anonymous:
But I know a woman who remembers things she wanna remember, and forgot things she doesn’t want to.
