I'm reading in the forum that Lower Ball Joints are no longer available from Toyota. I'm also finding them available at Toyota of Richmond.

    Email from them...

    Hi,

The ball joints ordered are incorrect for your VIN. The correct part number is 43330-39556 and 43340-39436. The bolts are also sold separately. The bolts are 90119-10933.

Would you like us to correct this on your order?

    Thank you,
    Ourisman Toyota of Richmond Parts

Lower Ball Joints are most definitely still available. I don't know where you read on TW that they are not, but we should get that corrected if you found it somewhere.

You can find all the correct part numbers for LBJs themselves (there are several that are equivalent LBJs with different part numbers) as well as bolts, and how to do the replacement here:

With as many posts about ball joints I have witnessed I bought stock in them.

Just do more of what you are doing. A PB soak overnight goes a long way. If in doubt get a better tool. But a MAPP gas torch is what you want, it just transfers the heat better and burns hotter, a regular torch can cause too much heat soak so you don't really get the same results.

I get parts at cost plus tax. Perks of working in a shop. I do have moog spares that travel with me. I was bailed out one day by someone with a spare LBJ. I hope to return the favor some day.

Nope. There's always been plenty of stock on these.
