I recently noticed that on my 2005 taco that there’s a whistling coming from what I think is the driver side above 50ish km per hour. Checked all doors and windows as it almost sounds like a whistling from a sealing issue in the cab but it’s definitely coming from outside. Have had the truck for 10 years and it is definitely a brand new noise.. possibly breaks?

There was a TSB on Gen 2-1/2 trucks to upgrade and stiffen the door seals to eliminate the kazoo noise. It seems possible your seals are not as tight as rhey were when new and you’re now getting the kazoo.

I’d probably buy the uprated seals and put them on. but TBH there are a number of folks (and threads on here) about how people have fixed their kazoo sound by inserting a smaller-diameter rubber hose into the door seal seal to make it stiffer.

I just bought adhesive weather stripping off Amazon and put it on the slanted a-pillar where it can "sandwich" the existing weather gasket (that makes the noise).

All you're aiming to do is to put pressure on the little flap on the door weather strip that acts like a musical reed in the wind.

Good chance weather stripa like stated above. I've changed/fixed other 100k vehicles with new or adjusted weather strips. Even when they aren't problematic the lessened sound is notable.
