are stubby front winch bumper and winch too heavy for stock 2019 suspension?

I have a 2019 4wd sr5 V6 extended cab with an ARB rear locker and am adding a stubby winch bumper and winch. The bumper is from rock slider engineering and weighs about 100 pounds(couldn't find specs) and the winch weighs about 70 pounds.
Will this much weight, which seems like a lot, dramatically affect my ride quality or handling characteristics? Will I have to do any upgrades to the stock suspension? Any help would be appreciated.

Take measurement hub center to fender edge before adding 170 lbs so you know how much more the stock springs compress with the added weight.

Someone on here has surely done it and can say what to expect.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It's not really adding 170#, the stock components you are removing are 35-40#. Still, you will notice it because the weight is way out in front of the suspension.

Yes, adding that bumper and winch will change the way it rides, it'll sag more in the front, dropping the suspension in the front about 3/4-1" and you'll feel every bump harder. This is the reason for heavier spring rates when you add weight. I have a similar bumper and had 600lb springs, and had to go up to 650lb springs.

I'd say 20 lbs max, crash bar aluminum bar and brackets, bolts, and plastic. I removed mine last month and couldn't believe how minimal it was.

Thanks for all of the advice. I'll do the install and see where it leads me, whether it's heavier springs or everything feels fine. I really like my current ride height, so if it drops less than an inch or so and ride quality is still okay, I'll leave it alone.

It'll be a good excuse to Lift and put in some bigger Bilstein 5100's. Hopefully this will reduce the brake dive just a little bit, and not lower your front end too much.

    Good luck @TinPA

all this fretting over 170 pounds?

leave your riding buddy at the trailhead, or hit the gym and lose a few pounds. problem solved.

i probably have more than 300 pounds in recovery gear, emergency tools/clothes/food/water in my truck. it's a truck, not a track toy.

Such a bad take. It’s hanging off the front end…

There is a 2" receiver hitch mounted behind the bumper with the receiver in the slot between the upper and lower bumper cover. Between the hitch, the winch and the cradle it's probably 200 lbs. If it made any difference in handling, I can't tell it. The 180 b cap on the back may balance everything.

Sure, but we're talking inches in front of the front wheels, not miles. There's almost no leverage effect at play here. At best, one can make the argument that 170 pounds in front of the wheels translates to a few 30-100 pounds off the rear axle in a panic stop condition. Which, again, we're talking about a 5,000 pound truck.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Check out Greenlane off-road, they make aluminum winch bumpers way lighter - 45lbs but still strong. Exchange rate is good, and they ship. The welds are so nice I hated getting mine powder coated.

Anyone know what the import fee is on the Greenlane stump bumper? I'm looking to get one but not sure what that fee is going to be or where to even look regarding those costs.

    This and that
Last time I didn’t get one, for the sliders. Bumper was about $70 American.
