Oh, not a dig at you or anything. Just saying in general that it’s priced for all the dealer priced add ons. Ridiculously priced

I think that you were in front of me this afternoon- 140 to 27N to Mexico Rd? If that was yer rig, man that's a sharp color! I've never seen one before, I didn't understand what all of the buzz was about for that color until today.

I'm looking forward to my TRD Suspension upgrade in April that when I saw this AC Sport, I had to do comparison photos.

@TacoTime55, what kind of suspension upgrades are you making to your TRD Sport? I ask because since I've moved from New Hampshire to Maryland (summer 2024), I find the suspension on my TRD Sport pretty much perfect for this neck of the woods.

Afternoon all, anyone have experience with off roading with a CAI? I've been looking at the Injen brand, but not worth it if I can't get my truck as dirty as my profile pic lol

Where does the CAI pull air from? Is it still the front part of the passenger wheel well. Or you looking at the one that pulls it from top of the grill?

I can’t really see how the wheel well one would be any difference. The Tacoma kinda has a CAI already, right? I might just not know enough lol.

What you need is a snorkel…

Edit- reread you had the brand. Looks like it’s the type that pulls from above the grill. Rain vs off-road, probably the same right? Still, I vote for you to get a snorkel

I’ve had the TRD pro cold air intake in my truck for a couple years and I have done quite a bit of offroad driving with it!

Yeah it's from above the grill. Was looking at snorkels, but this one is claiming up to +7 hp! I had a spectre cai in Wyoming. Had to send it back since one of the bolts didn't line up, but the two weeks installed I loved the sound and MPG gain . Id think even if the snorkel is pulling in cooler air, the wind resistance it causes would drop the mpg??

Well that may be because it's closed off? TRD would be my first choice if they made it for the 2.7
