I dont want to run my GMRS antenna cable through an open window to get outside to the roof. Has anyone run it through the cab floor to get to the outside? Any other ideas?

2nd gen here, but I found the wire bundle under the dash where it goes through a rubber boot into the engine bay and ran my antenna cable through there. I'm assuming a 4th gen has that passthrough under the dash, too.

Thanks. I will explore that…I was hoping to run the cable out the back, up to the roof rack where I mounted the antenna. Will have to see if the cable is long enough to go into the engine bay and then under the body to get to the rear of the cab.

Image stolen from here on TW. Most trucks have pressure relief vents at the back of the cab. These are to keep you from blowing out your windows if you slam your door, and to let air out in general when you have external air coming into the cab from your vent fan. I know it's not uncommon to run cables out these if wanting to mount something on the roof. I'd bet 4th gen has something similar. Just need to pull some interior panels to find them.
