So here in central Oklahoma we just finished a week ish of sub zero wind chills and single digit nights along with ice / snow and seriously more salt on the roads (three days after the storm started however. First 2 days dot / cities didn’t do jack *&$%* made my life on the ambulance a freaking joy). During this cold / cloudy spell my poor solar / dc/dc charger house battery took quite a hit it still powered my fridge for 4 days in the freezing temps before the voltage dropped to critical levels. However thats not the issue. What had happened is that my fog lights blew a fuse (during the storm at night of course ) and at the same time my turn signals / hazard lights stopped working. Replaced fuses and the second that either one turns on it blows the fuse after lighting up for 1 second. No new wiring, no new accessories recently and no hard core off roading . Matter of fact I’m practically a mall crawler so far this winter I am baffled as to what common wiring there is between the two systems anyone have any ideas? Checked relays (actually tested both with multimeter) bulbs are all fine brake lights work voltage I’ve even threatened him with replacing him with a jeep and didn’t change anything. I’m almost hoping this damm thing burns to the ground with this frustrating problem… I’ve actually made an appointment at the off-road shop that i use but thats not till march 7th. The council had a hearing and has cut a corner of my man card for having someone else fix my shit but I’m at my wits end I was just getting ready to install a light bar and couple of spot lights but that project is on hold till i can chase down the current problem. TL/DR version for the rest of you.

My fog lights blew a fuse.
My turn signals / hazard lights stopped working.
Replaced fuses, and the second that either one turns of (on?), it blows the fuse after lighting up for 1 second.
No new wiring, no new accessories recently

    A few questions?

    What fuses blow?
    You say you replaced "fuses".

What fuse blows when you use the turn signal?
What fuse blows when you turn on the fog lights?

Sorry so long in replying. I work on am ambulance and its been my 6 days on stretch. Today the weather is not sub zero and raining so i dove into this again. Back story. I just installed diode dynamics led turn signal bulbs ( the highest power ones ) a short while back. They worked fine … till they didn’t. After i unplugged my rear chase light bar that also does turn signal and brake lights to eliminate that from the equation still blowing fuses on signal circuit. So i went and replaced the led bulbs with stock 1157na and guess what everything works fine. Hmmmm. After kicking the tires cursing for a while i went well if the bubs are reversed (led) they wont work at all. What if… i turned the bulbs 180 degrees well guess what , turn signals and hazard lights work fine. However the parking lights don’t, BUT when i lock the truck and the parking lights and tail lights come on for 20 seconds, they do. I HATE ELECTRICAL shit. Now i used to have led switchback bulbs from diode dynamics and the yellow part of them quit working so i switched them out for regular 1157NA bulbs for a while. Short term i have turn signals and can stop being that &%$^& on the highway who doesn’t signal. Now on to the fog lights Unplugged both fog lights turned on fog light switch fuse intact, Checked voltage at both plugs 13.4. Plug in drivers side light and it comes on just fine fuse stays intact. Unplug drivers side light move to passenger side still 13.4v plug it in does not light but fuse is intact, hmm. Ok. Go plug in drivers side light and fuse blows. On a whim i replaced the 15amp fuse with a 30 amp fuse and drivers side comes on fine. Passenger side comes on flickers a little bit but stays on solid now. I’m baffled.

I've never been to Oklahoma, do you have rodents where you live? It sounds like you might've parked a warm truck and something crawled in for a nap and when it woke up hungry started chewing on wires.
