A friend was helping me install a new set of headlights. It was the first time I've dropped the bumper or needed to loosen the clips/bolts on the front end. During the process this red clip came out - from the passenger side only. It was rainy/snowy and dark outside when we were finishing up so it seems like this clip got overlooked when we were reinstalling everything. Wondering if anyone knows where it came from - I can't find a visible hole that is missing a clip or bolt, nothing seems loose.

    TIA!2021-02-06 21.08.53.jpg

Also my guess. Just had my bumper cover off a week ago.

My day job is fixing airplanes; I always have extra parts at the end of a job. But thats just because lazy mechanics drop hardware and don't go looking for it. I find hardware in the belly and take it out. Never a shortage of random airplane parts in my toolbox.

If nothing rattles or has gaps, I'd just hold onto that clip and not take it apart again to reinstall. More likely to damage a clip by another removal.

Any idea what the part number of that clip is? Accidentally broke one recently and can’t find it online.

    You probably won't need it.

I popped mine off when I did the headlight swap, forgot to put it back. No ill effects so far. Mine was from the top on the passenger side.

That's the thing -- I swapped my headlights out and this clip broke. The bumper doesn't quite sit flush anymore in that area (it did before). I've found other fender clips online but I can't figure out what this specific one is to replace it. The others aren't a similar shape and I'm afraid it wouldn't fix this issue.

Stop by your local dealer it’s a very common part they most likely have it in stock.

Edit: it looks like the clip comes with this part unfortunately you have to buy the entire piece. Part Number: 5211504070, 5211604070.
