Had to get a new clutch. Smells like exhaust in the cab when the heat is on and I’m getting about 50 miles less per tank. There is a rather different sound where the exhaust ties into the motor. It sounds as if I almost don’t have an exhaust or it’s about to go It sounds the same as before at the tailpipe exit. Any ideas so I don’t go to the mechanic and accuse him of something he didn’t do? Thanks.

Sounds like you have an exhaust leak, perhaps a gasket slipped or didn't get replaced or something wasn't tightened. Either way I'd take it back and give them an opportunity to make it right, mistakes can happen.

Good deal. I’ll probably do that. They have worked on my car once and my work vehicle (Chevy) 3-4 times without problems. Thanks.
