    I have a 2004 Tacoma Pre-Runner Extended Cab

    Here's my question:
I currently have Bilstein 5100's at 2.5" lift on my truck. I want to beef up my front suspension with the Bilstein 6112s at the same 2.5" lift. The 6112's only go up to 1.8" lift for the extended cab but go up to 3.1" of lift for the crew cab for some reason. As far as I know the suspension components are exactly the same for extended cab and crew cab so I don't understand why the lift height has a max of 1.8" for extended cab but 3" for double/crew cab. Attached is a photo of a chart for reference.

Any insight on this would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll probably just buy the 2.5" 6112s and put them on my extended cab anyways.

Based on the chart, I'm betting that the Extended cab sits approximately 1 inch taller than the double cab in the front on a stock truck. Added weight of double cab must compress the identical OEM shock a bit more, (edit) so the lift is relative to stock height.

Right, that makes sense. I keep a camper shell on my truck, so I might just go with the 2.5" anyways
