Hey Connecticut, our backs hurt

GM all...been another wild week or so. Work has been busy. FIL is recovering from surgery and all looks good in terms of healing etc. I have been tirelessly working on a few side projects; hoping to improve the income stream. On that note house hunting still blows....Here's a top tip (and not professional financial advice) If you have a credit card you pay off in its entirety and then decide to cancel any automatic payments that you had setup, I would STRONGLYYYYYYYYYYY suggest to check the balance from time to time...a random 5$ recurring payment I forgot about (this is my fault) turned into a $5.43 balance with interest, which turned into a $20.43 balance with a late fee, which then turned into a $45.83 balance which includes 2 months of recurring charges at $5, 2 months of late fees and 2 months of interest....oh and a -51 point slap to my credit....so that fucking blows because that is now on my credit.....all because I forgot to switch payment methods from one card to another. Mortgage company aint gonna be too pleased with this. Oh and my best friends father passed away, funeral on Saturday. Had a somewhat short lived battle with stomach cancer so it wasnt completely unexpected but nonetheless to Mike's point, still isnt easy...Sorry to hear about your grandmother @MikefromCT

Hey fellow CT'ers - does anyone know of a good shop to install my current set of tires (very low miles) on my oem wheels, onto a new set of aftermarket wheels? Locations near Milford CT would be vital if possible, thanks!

So I'm on RT2 in Glastonbury this morning and get passed by....an AMC Rebel Machine.
I don't think I've seen one of those in at least 40 years

 

I've used Firestone without a problem.

 

Normally I would try them, but a bad experience where they lied about rotating my tires and couldn't fix a balance issue after they installed tires for me has me hesitant to go back.

I actually took the exit and followed him for a mile or so to see if he'd be stopping anywhere and I could speak with him. It sounded terrific.

haven't had any issues with the one I use, thankfully.

Since I'm in Brookfield, I use the one here right by our Costco.

 

Seems odd to begin with. Town faire did my tires when I bought new ones two years ago. On aftermarket wheels (Level 8 MK6), and they never said a thing.

 

Was going to start wiring inside the truck after work so I could reinstall the radio.
Had a wake to attend so I couldn't. I'll try again tomorrow. Found a place for the anytime camera switching relay during lunch.

Hey guys, been working the past couple of days pulling the transmission out of my 13 mt6. Have to replace the t/o bearing and clutch. Today I’m going to tackle the top 2 bolts on the bellhousing. Anyone got any tips?

Mounted the ditch lights and GMRS antenna. Don't like the way the wire exits the light so I may buy a different set of lights.

Spent a little time messing with my truck yesterday after work. I found out the thread pitch for the U-bolts (1/2-20).
Going to the hardware store to buy a nut and use it as a spacer so I can finally cut my U-bolts to length.
I was able to fully tighten the GMRS antenna to the mount (had to modify the little metal piece).
I'm ordering new ditch lights and the covers for them:

Going to finally wire the anytime camera on Saturday. Still unsure on where to put the relay. It's in the way no matter where I put it. I'll have a better idea tomorrow.
