First time user/poster, so I apologize for any improper posting etiquette.

Dropped $1k on my 3rd Gen at the local mechanic (high rated locally) for them to install JBA UCA's, new LCA's, tie-rod ends, and some other small maintenance, and I believe either they or Firestone flattened my driver side rear-most cam gussets. The dude told me "they were like that" whenever he took my cam bolts off. He installed everything, but refused to lift the tabs and put a bead behind the gusset, even if I purchased new ones (probably for liability). I drove it directly home, and the cam bolt has already slid partially past where the gusset was (away from the body) just from the drive home. I live in the Pinellas County, Florida area, and for the life of me cannot find any shop that can do an alignment (they've all told me that it sits too tall for the brand of alignment lift) nor weld tabs back.

Does anybody know anyone locally that is willing to simply tack some beads behind a partially bent gusset and align my truck?? I was referred to S & M Truck World, Inc., but after reading a few forum reviews, people mentioned that if you're not purchasing rims/tires/lift, and if you're driving Toyota, they will give you a hard time or just simply refuse you service. I don't want to waste my time going there, especially since I run 35s on a 3" lift and will need to request them to maximize my caster (another Toyota driver states they requested maximum caster from this shop, and the owner told him to get out for telling him what to do). Aside from there, I haven't been able to find any other "off-road" or "lift kit" mechanic able to align my truck. I'm even willing to pay for someone to do this in their driveway, and just get my truck aligned enough to get me by until I can save up enough cash to have new gussets properly welded on.

Welcome to Tacoma World. You may want to post this in the localized Florida subforum, you'll likely get more answers on reputable shops or meet new people to help do some wrenching. Good luck.

I like that, thank you. I'll give them a call this morning whenever they open and see what they think! Thank you!
