2nd gen double cab rear under seat storage

Anyone been brave enough yet to look into building a drawer by removing the extra metal in front of the underwear bins? I’ve been scouting photos of guys who are doing seat deletes and sound deadening as well as an ongoing discussion of the mechanic where I work at a golf course. I am thinking that removing either end by the doors and removing the plastic and you could maintain the seat height while accommodating a functional drawer that also is 60/40 and locks? I’ve included photos of the drawer I found for f150 (dimensions 54”x13”x9”). Thoughts anyone who has thought about this and/or done seat deletes or floor sound deadening?
