I'll likely post more pictures than words here, but here's a short photo summary to get us up to speed.

First Miata, 2000 LS package. Bought it some time around 2008. Rollbar, CAI, catback, coilovers, wheels/tires, full red interior from a 93 LE and red leather Lotus Elise seats.

Followed by a 1990. Rollbar, racing seat on drivers side, coilovers, flares, 15x9et0 on Nitto NT01's, M2 style mirrors and center console.

Current Miata 1996. Day I picked it up :)

It came with a pristine hardtop, rollbar, koni yellows (with unknown springs), air horns (which sound hilarious, but are very loud) and some dry-rotted tires. In the past couple weeks I've done a few things.

    • Tein Flex Z coilovers
    • Amazon projector headlights
    • ISR catback exhaust
    • R-package style front lip
    • Bolt-in hardtop brackets
    • HD RS-L Wheels (starshark replicas) 15x8et25 on Falken Azeni 205/50's
    • Drove the crap out of it :)

Going forward, I'll likely be more descriptive with the build. I just wanted to get the intro out of the way and I figure people like looking at pictures more than reading.

The goal for the car is a retro-inspired build, like my previous NA, but not as crazy (like cutting my fenders again). It's meant to be a fun DD, and I also plan to take it up to Maryland International Raceway to finally start getting some track time.

What's up! Haha, yeah I can see why people don't like them. It's no louder than my red NA was though with the Enthuza exhaust I had so it doesn't bother me. My hearing is already rather terrible, so I guess that's a plus

Replaced my old turn signal lenses with new clear ones.

And I got tired of the black and red on the door panels, so I recovered them this weekend. They're not perfect, but I'm happy with them :)

Thanks! It is pretty dang clean and was definitely taken care of. Yeah I couldn't stand not having something fun to rip around in, so here we are again :rofl:I still drive the Taco once or twice a week to show it some love though. Now that it's warming up, we should be doing some more camping soon too.

Loved my Miata. Bought a white, low mileage 92 for 10K. Put 40k mi on it over the next year, and sold it for 10k. Best value I've gotten out of a car. Not hating or anything, but also not a fan of the fart can exhaust tip.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks

No crazy mods. Rear sway delete and up sized front sway and end links. Tien Flex. Flying Miata butterfly brace. Azenis on Motogei track lites. Top from a 2000 with glass window and defrost. All lenses shaved and polished, CIBIE h4s, shaved front badge and filled trunk key hole. R package front and rear spoilers. Harddog polished SS roll bar. 96, which was the best wt/HP of the 1st and 2nd gens

Had lots of grins running local auto x w/better times than most big HP rides and hot shoe kids.

Nice! It's all good. I understand it's not everyone's taste. I've just always liked the look of the RS Factory exhaust on retro-styled NAs, but this was a more affordable option.

Sounds like a fun setup! Shaving/polishing the lenses is on my to-do list. It's such a nice/subtle improvement. The Tein Flex and Azenis feel pretty good as-is, but I would like to get some seat time in before I change anything else suspension-wise.

Haha, yeah that's like when we go to the Tail of the Dragon... we'll keep up with a few of the faster cars, because they can't quite use all that power. Meanwhile, we're just keeping our momentum going thru all the turns

It's a bit much for my taste nowadays, but at least it looks like it was well done.
