    Hi,

I'm fixing to replace my current wheels to the machined look. My Tacoma Sport 4dr 4wd is stock height, the wheels I'm interested in is RR5-S 17x8.5 -12 OS 4.28 BS. Before pulling the trigger, I messaged RRW via IG for confirmation on fitment - they responded with, "I believe the offset will not work" with my generation. I have seen all kinds of negative offset wheels on stock 2nd gens and I'm thinking their response is for liability reasons which is understandable. So my question to you folks, do you think the wheel with a -12 offset work on my stock height Tacoma? What kind of issues I might be faced with? I plan to keep it stock height, but if needed, I'm okay with leveling and/or doing some trimming etc. if needed.

    Regards,
    Sean

I ran my SCS Ray 10 with -10 OS stock with 265 70 17, I did get a wheel alignment and have them push the wheel forward whatever the stock setup allows. If something rubs it’ll be minimal, you might have to unbolt your front mudflaps.

    Sean,

Let me help out with some sound advice. As Dave noted, you should be able to run that wheel setup with 265/70/17 tires. All you will have to do is remove the front mud flaps and do some light liner trimming. Once everything is on the car, turn the wheels to full lock and you'll see where it's going to slightly rub on the liner. Simply trim that area out and call it a day.

It will be similar to this here,
