Why, most driveshafts can be rebuilt?

That’s just what my local shop suggested. I’ve contacted another shop to possibly get some more information.

Not worried about installing one. Was just looking for either a good used one or someone that knew a good place to get one.

Without a location, I can't see you'll get much help. If you were near me I'd say try ADL in Centerville/Lino Lakes. It's just on the west side of 14 and 35E. I can't say how good they are, but they have been there for decades. Haven't had to seek driveshaft work for years and the last one I did was ages ago.

Check with a local “driveline” shop. If there is no visible physical damage like a gouge, dent, or twist, I’m betting it can be rebuilt. Not completely surprised about a recommendation to just replace. When my carrier went bad under warranty, Toyota replaced the whole shaft instead of carrier bearing. It’s quicker/easier for them at your expense. Same way they’ll change a whole control arm for a bad ball joint.

Thanks and I just contacted a local shop about fixing mine. As well as another in case it needs replaced. All the help has been great. And BTW I’m in Cincinnati. I’ll be sure to update my location

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Google 'driveshaft repair', you should find at least 1 shop in your area. My 2nd Gen had a failure which required a new yoke and the repair cost about $300 IIRC. If the truck is 4wd, just pull the driveshaft and run in 4wd until you get the driveshaft back. A new driveshaft from Toyota is going to run you around $1k.
