I don't think you could get an honest opinion anyway out of him...

 

How does it sound at speed? Thought about one of these but it might not be worth the noise for the few times I use it.

Checked last night, mine have no glare..clear as day.

 

It only happens with aftermarket LED bulbs and bumpers from my understanding...

 

There’s a marked glare with aftermarket bulbs hence why these exist and Dave/FBC made the Disable In Reverse harness (discontinued due to shop closure) which turns off plate lights when you put it in reverse. I had the blockers until I got a steel bumper that doesn’t have pockets for the plate lights and rather aims them directly at the backup camera. Glad I picked up a DIR harness while they were available.
Now if I could only figure out how to get the display to quit dimming the image when the headlights are on…

Put on Method MR703 in machined clear coat, switch it up from the black. 17" x 8.5" Zero offset

Front/rear differential and transfer case fluids all changed out today.

Also installed new front rotors and pads. Got distracted during the brake work and forgot to tighten/torque the driver side brake caliper mounting bolts. Figured it out when I went to work on the passenger side and realized I hadn't adjusted my torque wrench to the proper setting. I'm thinking next time I'll create a checklist and mark off the steps as I go so I don't have another slip up; that one could have been bad!

I heard about the noise too but I was going 80 on the freeway in AZ with a dust storm and it was barely noticable. I went with the regular Prinsu rack for this reason with the wind front plate and thick (what she said) weather stripping that goes in the bottom of the wind plate.

 

Went through the same situation with my body armor bumper. Went with this light bar. Bolts to the plate and shines down. Could also use those bolt leds too I'd imagine, or anything really that shines down instead of up at the camera, which is the trick.

Seems like a pretty good solution. I like that it shines downward away from the camera
