Can't believe how fast 4 years has gone by - seems like yesterday
I parked the brand new 2021 in the driveway...

I paid a little extra last month and a little extra this month to skip a payment
next month - submitted the payoff amount moments ago and raised a girl-scout-cookie
    to toast myself.

Told my son today that I was going to pay it off tonight, I could see the wheels turning
in his head.... how to devise my early demise .... no need for all that I'll be mingling with
    the stars soon enough.

Paid off is the best mod and feels great when you do it. How much did the bank charge you for rent over the four years?

Hmmm not sure actually, but the interest rate at the time was 2.9% and I was not amused
that they charged me any interest at all with my FICO score in the 800's... the wife's Subaru
we bought new was at 0%.

Hard to believe a 2021 is already 4 years old!

Congrats, but as a reward for being a responsible consumer your credit score will probably go down now that you don't have a car payment anymore.

Compared to rates now 2.9% is great. At anything less than 3% I figure I can leave money in my 4% savings account and still be making 1% return while paying the loan off rather than 0% growth by paying outright upfront. Hard to find rates that works for anymore though.

Only if they don't do away with so-so-security.

I'm pushing 70, a bit long in the tooth for lifts and major mods.
I occasionally hit forest roads but nothing like some of the folks here do.
    No rock-crawling for me.

Nice, congrats! Looking forward to mine in a few months. Riding that 0% APR all the way home.
