Installing AUX lights and the buttons light up blue to match the dash. One snag I'm running into is that the sun roof fuse is always hot so I used the internal power plug one (7.5 amp) and its only 'hot' when ACC is on.

That works for now, but what I want is for it to only turn on when the dash lights are on. Otherwise I have only a single glowing blue button.

Does anyone know if any of the fuses under the dash are directly related to your dash lights/headlights being on?

I really don't want to test every single one as they are the low profile mini's and are a PITA to test.

Why not just grab a dash light wire and tap it? There are also jumpers you can get to steal the power without tapping or splicing.

Is the wire side ( top ) of that fuse panel accessible by removing the one 10 mm nut I see ?

You don't need to access that panel at all. Grab a wire from the switch next to the switch you installed. But to answer your question, I don't know.

At the risk of hijacking this thread, the op may also benefit. I want a dedicated circuit using one of the free fuses. Hoping there is access on the backside. Thank you op for your patience.

5A fuse labeled Panel. Used this one for my heated seat buttons a couple months ago.

*edited to correct which fuse I used

This method won't allow the LED on the new button to dim like the surrounding switches FYI. But it looks like that harness linked above probably would.

Why use the backside? It is my understanding that the blank slots in the fuse panel (bottom) are hot. Could just plug a mini fuse tap in there and be done with it.

Thanks for the tip of using the panel labeled one, I'll swap to that.
