Finally got word about my truck from the shop.. a bunch of the ring gear bolts snapped, some stuff in the carrier was messed up, and they’re just going to weld the hole on the back of the diff. Getting a new set of REM polished gears, definitely not from ECGS again, and they are going to “reinforce the rear axle”. Curious to see where this ends up. Anyways I’m another $4900 in the hole due to faulty diff setup

 

You probably talking about the burger joints which still keep its burger size, I’ve seen some sell for a little cheaper, and the burger shrunk in a third.

 

Guy at church ask me if I'd help him move some furniture in a couple weeks? I said sure, let me know (thinking it would be on a Saturday).

He saw me Sunday at church and said how does Thursday work for you? I said that's fine but I don't get home until 4:00

He said never mind, I'll find someone else.

 

Sure I can help you move, sorry I don't get off till 2 am. How does 3 am work? Oh, No? Can't help then.

Being single, I've learned that a lot of people seem to genuinely believe that any moment they didn't see me at church, I'm at home, sitting in the dark, staring at the wall in silence...

 

Years ago (decades) I worked night shifts, people would call me for rides, help, dumb questions, etc and start the conversation "I knew you would be home -- you work nights! You're home all day!"

W-T-H...

What in tarnation do you think I'm doing "home all day", maybe sleeping so I can go to work.

A "normal" person wouldn't dream of calling a friend at 2 AM unless it was an emergency.

If a person never worked a few years of nights they don't ever understand.
