What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Recalibration: washer(s) can be inserted on set screws of tss garnish. Worst case scenario is you need a 1/16" washer on your lower garnish holding screw, to compensate for higher mount position. And screws are easy to reach without having to disassemble grille. There's my opinion. My trd pro grille tss required one additional washer, was perfectly fine with that, used it everyday.

 

You're right to question this install...I would too!

EDIT: I did not add a washer/spacer on camera as suggested by seller video.

For me, I did not have the TSS calibrated and it's worked as advertised since install in Aug/2022.

I test it out every time I put DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control) on the highway.

I engage the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) and that works as advertised.

I test the DRCC Distance Bar thingy as well.

Everything works and has worked since I installed an aftermarket grill.

 

Welpers, wright or wrong, I just pulled the trigger on this, now we wait to see what happens...

Most defiantly, I have not even checked to see where the dealer is located, but they said I should have everything by the 10th, how ever I think the Front Bumper/Grille For Cap/Connector Housing thingy may be delayed due to this warning... Special Order Item: Please allow an additional 3 - 5 business days for shipment.

Install may be once the weather levels out... lol

No. The TSS garnish is a separate part. OEM garnish is almost double what we paid for our grille. But there are lots of peeps who run an aftermarket garnish. Downside to the aftermarket is that most of them have a bright silver accents as opposed to the darker grey accents on the OEM. Basically makes the aftermarket versions stick out like a sore thumb. Alternatively, you can lay vinyl tint or tint over the aftermarket garnish to tone down the silver

Same for me on the cam cap. So I called them and asked if they can cancel the cam cap so they can go ahead and ship the grille and cam bracket because I didn’t wanna wait any longer than I had to for the grille lol. Then they shipped it that day and I received it 3 days later via usps. I ended ordering the cam cap at my local dealer for $12

 

So how did you mount your TSS thing, did you use the garnish from the OEM grill??
That is what I am most confused about...

New kicks! Wasn't quite ready for 285's yet. Still need to install the Apache Off Road cab mount relocation kit. That's gonna' be a big day with all the welding and stuff. Have yet to lift the truck as my spanner wrenches showed up Sunday afternoon. No weekend left to do anything.
