I touched up a few paint spots. Don't have a before pic on this big chip just an after. What you think?

Big chips are tough the pdr guy I've used says start slow and build it up with small brush or even a toothpick over multiple coats. He wiped of my poor attempt at touch up on a big chip with something. Maybe mineral spirits or something.

I think they are still there. I just watched a video on scratch repair, it was a good reference. I did similar, clean sand to remove any ridges.
Paint. Removing any extra that is high. Sand, 1000,1200,2000,compound polish. Wax. Done.

Your touchup style look just like mine OP, well done! :) I will dab some touch up paint on a chip to protect the metal underneath. But I really don't care how the cheap ass paint jobs look on these mass produced trucks. Now the paint job on my Corvette was a different story.

My experience with touch up paint is it never matches even the ones you buy from the dealer. I really don’t know why Toyota can’t have the factory paint supplier make their touch up paint.

There's too many variables involved to make it match your truck, unless they were looking at a sample of your truck.

My guess is whoever mixes the paint has a few master samples to match and they try to get it somewhere close, going off the formula for the color.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
It's white. The paint will start to peel off soon enough. Good job on the attempt though.
