I am up in the air adding Spidertrax 1.25*" wheel spacers on my truck. I have stock suspension and running 265 70/17 tires. Will adding spacers give the truck a more aggressive look? Thanks in advance. I included a picture with my truck now

Spidertrax is a good brand (another would be Bora, which has some sizes different than Spidertrax, such as 1.00").
However it looks like you already have lesser-offset aftermarket wheels on there... Adding spacers to that will probably put the edge of your tire tread out past the fender which will not only allow the tires to throw dirt & mud all over the entire side of your truck, but may be illegal in some states as well. The tires sticking out can also potentially shorten the life of your wheel bearings.

As noted best to clarify what offset your wheels are as is. They look closer to a 0 and adding a spacer could result in rubbing issues.

I'm a fan of the aggressive look spacers can give. I have 2" spacers just to have that wider stance. It does sling everything, though. Mud as well as rocks. So that's definitely something to keep in mind. Nothing a Barcelona Red paint marker can't touch up.

Spacers are dumb. Buy wheels that fit.

Get ready to do some cutting. Adding that spacer will have you over a -30

If you can't afford the correct set up, maybe you should wait until you can? Doing the right thing will save you money in the long run.

As much as I agree that a proper wheel offset to achieve the look you want is best i think this blanket statement is wrong.

Do clarify on how a correct wheel offset vs a spacer will save you money in the long run.

A quality properly installed and monitored spacer is not likely to fail. If spacers had an eventual 100% failure rate we would hear of alot more failures. Your suspension components and wheel bearing have no idea if your offset is determined via offset or a spacer it will all wear the same. The only argument is if you buy new wheels you save the cost of the spacers eventually.

Maybe someone really liked the wheels they have and they do not come in that desired offset so spacer is the only way to aquire that "look". I wouldn't fault them for that. Or using g spacers to find out if they look the look or the drive before spending alot more on wheels.

All I'm getting at is blanket statements are dumb. Except suspension spacers those are dumb. And leveling trucks, that's dumb aswell

Not true all the time. For example, I have 37 inch tires and long travel front suspension which moved my front tires edge 3+ inches outside. I don't want to build a custom length rear axle just to align the width. I want to keep Toyota axle and see how it will handle big tires. And also I do relocation for the rear shocks and installing bigger shocks which means I need to move the inner tire edge outside a little bit. That's why I'm using spacers on the rear axle. Yes, I admit the bearings will be my next weak point. But it's not dumb, it's experiment to satisfy my goals. If somebody install good spacers just for the look, it's not dumb ether, it's the one of the the ways to go.

He's not wrong, just because people like the look of spacers doesn't make them a smart choice, but to each their own.

I'm in the camp that thinks that the contact patch of the tires should not go beyond the fenders for numerous practical reasons beyond looks, the sidewalls just outside the fender that is common with +0 offset wheels on these trucks is the sweet spot IMO for that aggressive look. Anything beyond that, i.e. "stanced" trucks with huge negative offsets look ridiculous in my eye, any tire poke >2" beyond the fenders is illegal in my state but never enforced, unfortunately. And this is coming from someone who was into "stanced" and lowered cars with stretched tires (but not the ridiculous camber), but that was back in high school. I can't believe there are adults that spend 50k+ on trucks and then think a super wide tire and stance improves the looks. I wish we'd go back to the era where taller tires were the real status symbol (like those used by the people who actually wheel) and be done with this silly wide wheels/tires era with 20"+ wheels and rubber band tires that are more appropriate for race cars, but maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy.

Or post the short video of the truck that lost a wheel going down the freeway and claim it's because of spacers. LOL

Well said. Spacers or offsets put the wheel/tire in the same position. It's physics. The pressure will be applied either way you do it. I check my spacers and torque them each time I rotate my tires. I've been riding on them for going on 5 years and have not had a single issue. Why do people feel it's necessary to bash others because they have a different opinion than the next person? For the life of me, I can't understand it.
But back to the point.... The metal has no idea of what's making the wheel stick out further than the OEM. So a bolt on spacer is no different than "the right way". As you called it. I hope you have a fantastic day!
