Although I don’t disagree with you, I still have a bad taste in me for the fridge that only lasted couple years, they denied the warranty and the brand has a lots of complaints for the same problem I have.
With all due respect, consumers do have choices, but I found out the choices that I allowed to have were manipulated by big corporates scheme game!

I don’t know which brand you’re referring to, but I have heard (Samsung) horror stories.

In 30 years, I’ve been through 3 Washers, 2 Dryers, 4 Dishwashers, 2 Refrigerators, and 3 Deep freezers. I will honestly say that the fridge/freezer were 1 time due to Katrina Stank, not physical defect. Both were long lived before that event and would likely have lived longer. Further, their replacements were selected while being unloaded due to availability, not a typical comparison process.

 

Samsung is not a top brand for appliances.

Forgot to mention my fridge that I replaced has no problem since purchased in 1998, it was replaced ‘cause cosmetics aging
