    Hi guys
I was doing my leaf springs today and ran into an issue getting the front pin out. The 2 in the rear were not easy but eventually budged. I ended up cutting the front one out and made a mistake damaging the hanger, i was preoccupied trying not to slice into the gas tank as i sprayed sparks all over it, lol.

Attached I have some photos of the damage, unfortunately i do not have the capabilities to weld this while i have the truck apart. I am thinking about reassembling and driving like this for a bit.

    Is this a bad idea?
Does any one else have experience with something similar?
Will the weakened hanger lead to additional damage or warping of the hanger/spring?

    Any insight is appreciated!

I wouldn't drive that any further than to the nearest place that can weld it. Otherwise you risk a crack starting within that cut and it migrating further up the bracket.

Yikes, I agree get it welded asap. The leaf spring hangers take the side to side forces of the rear.
