New to me: 2014 Tacoma D-4D

So my kids are growing up fast and I think I have to step up to a tundra…three kids in the backseat just doesn’t work for us. The recent purchase of a new 24’ center console boat also weighed heavily on this decision.

Any interest from anyone on the forum? Haven’t set a price yet but I’m open to negotiations.

Here is what I have done since purchase….New DT engine wiring harness, new oem radiator, new oem injectors, fresh rebuild on icon coilovers, icon UCA’s, oem power sliding rear window, clazzio with heaters, new android radio, under seat subwoofer, ultimate headlight mod, TRD pro knock off grill, new fab fours front bumper to protect engine bay, etc

All work under the hood completed at Diesel Toys shop.

Sweet. Fits like a glove and looks stock: like it had always been there since new. Can't spot one thing that looks out of place or doesn't belong.

 

My wife and I just made the decision yesterday sadly. I’m going to get it detailed soon and work on selling to the right Tacoma lover over the next few months. Here’s a pic from a couple of weeks ago.

 

Todd at DieselToys is a master…it’s so clean it’s ridiculous. He even uses ultrasonic wire splice machine and Toyota electrical tape/wire loom. When compared to oem toyota wiring harness his are the exact same. I got to try the machine too

 

Were you able to identify and fix the "Limp Mode" issue it had initially? Just curious as to the cause.

 

I was not…however he was able to diagnose. Fuel injector set fixed the limp mode issue. I had it fully rewired because the previous owner had dug into the loom and I wanted zero issues when I picked it up as my daily driver. Never had a check engine light since….

Somewhere out there is this unicorn Tacoma getting almost 2x the MPG of us gas suckers lol.
