Can someone tell me what the heck is up with this lift?

Bought this Tacoma a couple months ago. Runs great, but I am looking into removing the body lift. What is confusing to me is in the front it looks like it may have a suspension lift as well. Never had a lift on a vehicle before and looking for advice on how to remove it/what is even going on hahaha. Thanks in advance you legends. IMG_1048.jpg IMG_1049.jpg IMG_1051.jpg

What’s your opinion on a spacer lift? Would you say it’s a similar task to remove or more difficult compared to the body lift. I have the tools to remove the weld job from the body lift but not sure what removal of a spacer lift entails.

Removing the body lift is easy, depending on your skill level and access to tools. The hardest part is sourcing the bolts for them.

I recently removed a similar body lift on a first gen. I bought bolts from McMaster
    10qty - M12-1.25 x 35mm - 91180A718
    5qty - 3/8-16x4.5" - 92865A643
    10qty - 3/8-16x3" - 92865A636

The body lift used 3/8-16 bolts so I was able to use those nuts and washers. The M12 bolts are for the bolts that are captured. It was just a puck lift, so I did not need to replace the mounts. The truck I worked on was a 5mt. I needed to cut and remove and reweld the shifts back together too. Otherwise it feels like you are shifting at eye level.

The blue coils could indicate aftermarket coil overs. Can you get a pick of the whole thing?

Removing the coil over assemblies is not difficult, and faster than the body lift. I would start by gathering all necessary parts and tools to tackle the body lift, then evaluate if the suspension even needs to be messed with.
