Lol, Right? I'm thinking because I don't have the inner fender plastic a rock probably got tossed up at it while flying down a dirt/gravel road.

 

I bet you’re right, probably popped that thing right out.

 

Yesterday I noticed just how easy it could to break that stud thingy off just by hitting with the nozzle when filling up.

Finally getting around to getting my welding table/workbench put together.

Got all the material cut to size and cleaned up. Some of the frame is from my old squat rack. Thought the 7/8" holes in the tubing might come in handy.



The top plate is 34"x48"x1/2" and is working good for getting the frame together.


Table base tacked up and ready to finish weld.


I'm going to wait to weld on the caster wheel mounting plates. That way I can account for any warpage. Don't want the it to rock like a cheap bar table on the floor. Also have a 14ga sheet to make a bottom shelf.

Very cool, but damn, I can’t imagine welding in a place where the low temp for the day is over 100 degrees!

 

It's a beautiful 85 degrees today. Perfect for garage time!

 

Frame welded up, Top and wheels on. Just need to finish the bottom shelf. Floor to top is 37".



Because everyone like a bead pic. I'm a little rusty haven't been welding much the last few years.

Martec rear 3 link kit is here! As well as a TK1 rear sway bar. Now I have to get the ADS coil over and bypass shocks ordered.

This stuff is pure beef!!

 

Let me know if you need any help coordinating with ADS or want to try to work something out to forgo shipping. They are pretty close to my office.

 

Thank you for the offer and I'll let you know If I need something! But for now, I think I'm going to order the shocks through Nick at Desert Offroad Solutions. He's down in that area too had some very competitive pricing. I will probably just drive down to pick them up from his shop.

Thanks to Nick @ Desert Off Road Solutions and ADS the Bumps and Coilovers showed up quick fast and in a hurry. Ordered on Wednesday and was on the door step the next day! Bypass shocks are still a few weeks out though.

 

I unexpectedly adopted a tire last night. It was on FB marketplace looking so lonely and needing a home while Sarah McLachlan sang softly in the background. Mickey Tompson Baha Boss MT 40x13.5xR17. Just 1 for now so I can start doing the cutting to fit. Let's gooooo!




It's actually surprising how big the jump from 37 to 40 is. The 37 looks like a 33 next to it....
