2016 TRD Sport DCSB. Thinking of doing a leveling kit with Bilstein 5100 adjustable 0-2" all around. I would probably do the 2" front and 1" rear settings with a 1" block. I don't want to be nose-up and if anything, a 1" rake is fine with me. This should be fine right? Also, i am running 265/70/17 ko2s, will these tires look small with the 2"/1" setup?

The rear wont have any settings. The 5100 rear shock is a 0-1" lift height style. You can put a block on there if you want and it will be just fine. The front is quasi-adjustable so you can always lower it down a little if you want a little more rake. I wouldn't add any more rear lift with a block though. If you want a little better quality lift, you can do an add-a-leaf to the rear leaf pack for about $150 more and the ride will be a lot better.

Oh ok, that makes more sense. So, if i use the 5100s in the front on the 2" setting, how easy is it to drop down a notch or two if i want more rake? I can always just put the shocks on then decide later if i want to lift the rear or not.

If you have a spring compressor or shop press, very easy. If you don't, then you will have to pay someone to move the circlip to change the preload setting.

I guess you could use the weight of the truck to compress the spring and change it that way but its a little shady.

The top setting is perfect on stock springs and a one in rear block will be almost level with an ever so slight of a rake. If you want a rake that is about an inch try the 4th setting. I have been on both, and the 5th setting is where I'm at now with 285s. Rides great!

Got it. 4th or 5th for sure. What did you do in the rear? If I decide to get a 1” block I have no idea who makes the highest quality one or if it even matters.

1000000535.jpg Any bolt on block is fine. I used a one inch bolt on block 6 years ago and not one issue! I like the stance of the 5th setting with the block. Rides great and I personally think it rides better but maybe the new 285 Toyo AT3 vs the old 265 Toyo at2s but I only have 30k miles on my truck but the lift has been solid, no issues. Might want to consider the needle bearing and do the ecgs clamshell bushing so you don’t have any vibrations. I also added a front diff drop and a rear carrier drop to keep everything in spec. Also added the Sumo bump stops and I have been very satisfied!

Love my 2/1" lift but wouldn't be opposed to 1/0" lift.

1" up front may get rid of the oem Brake dive, (not sure), and not needing a 1" block in the rear would be fine by me too. Regardless, I did find my 265/75/16 Duratracs looked a lil' small under the lift, yet looked stuffed in there before the lift.

If you want rake 2/1 will level you would want to go 2/2 to maintain a good amount of rake.
Leveled trucks are for the mall, trucks with rake get used and honestly drive better especially under load.
265/70 will fit fine stock. The only time you will run into trouble is once your wheel offset gets past a 0. Then you can start to see some potential for rubbing.

That’s the only way I’ve ever done it, many times. It’s totally fine. You put your truck on jack stands, remove the wheel, support the LCA with a floor jack, unscrew the two big bolts under the big bracket at the end of the LCA, remove the nut on the top of the coilover, and slowly lower the jack to relieve the spring. Reverse the process after you’ve made the adjustment. No spring compressor needed. Probably the only way you can f— it up is putting the floor jack under the wrong spot on the LCA, where it might slide.

Yes, it is possible but you are over-stressing the LCA bushings and risking the jack sliding out. I've done it before. I've welded up a jig to use on my shop press...much safer and faster now.

Just got a 3rd gen I’m picking up tomorrow and this is the greatest YouTube channel ever. I’m decently handy and this has fully convinced me to do the Bilstein 5100s all around and on my own, saving me big time $$. Much appreciated.
