Couple size options- claim they will last a couple years. We had to do a little bit of trimming but are pretty picky. I’m happy with it! Will prob do the tailgate later this summer.

Charlie "Chuck" is 11.6 and showing every bit of it lately. He got a prescription for arthritis and a special diet food at the vet the other day. He also got some new toys and new bed at Costco.

These stupid dogs live long enough for us. We make all his food for him and give him dog vitamins. A bag of dog food with a shelf life of 25 yrs cant be
good for him. We do Skinless boneless chicken breast, apples, sweet potatos, carrots, chicken livers, with chicken broth in crockpots, Every week. Keeps him young.

    It's true...as I've gotten older, I don't drive as much.

That and my current job is less than 5 miles one-way.

I've had it set at 10K ever since joining USAA back in the mid/late 90s.

Wife and I are evaluating and dismissing bills we don't want to carry into retirement.

I've had one major accident where insurance had to pay out because my SUV was total loss...and it was less than $5K.

We've given insurance lots of money throughout the years so I wouldn't call this cheating...which I'm hoping you're just joking with me. lol

We've been here at Dover since 2006...PCS'd from Ramstein, Germany.

It was quite the transition for our daughters who started new schools...eldest was in HS and the kids called the German Girl. Our youngest started Middle School but she did not mention any nicknames.

There isn't much for teenagers/young adults to do here but there are plenty of historic places that are within 1-2 hours away.

I personally like the Delaware Beaches and set off early to beat the crowds. lol

Now that our daughters are married and working, they have discovered lots of bands they like--playing at venues in the surrounding big cities.

We, as a family have become well acquainted with things we like to do...the only sacrifice is having to get into the car and drive.

I enjoy driving but my wife gets bored in the car...she's a great backseat driver sitting shotgun! lol

If you were talking about L.A. well, next time I'm in town I may catch a Dodgers Game and leave early to beat the crowd leaving the park!

    EDIT: PCS=Permanent Change of Station

The operative word was cheap. I would not need 4x4 for the stuff I would be doing. Maybe just a set of AT tires and worry about the interior living amenities, roof rack, awning, and that'd be it.

Totally understand sir. I do the same evaluation yearly. I feel exactly the same. The money you pay for insurance could have purchased a small vacation cottage, put a kid through community college, or paid your house off 10 years early.

Instead... We pay to live in fear of actually having to use insurance... God forbid we actually put a claim in and ask for money back from the thing we pay into monthly for 40 years.

I feel you .. I'm sick of pinching pennies. And paying for things that I can never use or benefit from.

Went out there for my son's basic training graduation a while back, we were all very underwhelmed at the city. It was not what I expected. I suppose since we are right outside of Philadelphia that we were all expecting something similar. It was certainly nice and clean, just didn't seem like a city. Certainly felt like a tourist trap in a way

I see some Tiger Stripes on your boy... I had a red nose w/ ghost tiger stripes a while back, went everywhere with me... Now my 2yo blue nose is my ride a long....

    lol!

Oh, we're talking about San Antonio (SA) now?

We lived in Abilene in the early 90s for 5+ years and visited my my grandparents in SA.

We did the River Walk and Alamo and other things I'm sure I've forgotten about. lol

Heck, when we got to Dover in 2006, all we could talk about was visiting Philly.

Our family has benefited from my USAF career and getting assignments to different parts of the world.

Always remember good OPSEC...blend in and don't be THAT American. lol

EDIT: Did I mention I'm getting a TRD Suspension upgrade for my Sport next month?

Those look thin and are aluminum. Sometimes cheap is cheap. I told myself I didn't need ditch lights...except that my Auxbeam had an open slot and someone put a used pair up in the BST thread cheap. Now I see deer before they decide to get a rush by running in front of me.
