Evening I have a 19 SR utility, stock everything. I have a set of these on it currently-photo attached. Family member who is about 5”8 states difficult for ducking to get in truck with those steps not having adequate stepping distance… anyone have a recommendation for a better or more versatile step if that makes sense?

do you mean the step needs to be closer to the ground or closer to the floor of the truck? Because tyger and a bunch of others make a drop step too, its just not one long continuous rail step

Hmm let me attempt to explain.. where family member foot goes when exiting truck.. so closer to truck… would the double step that’s not entire rail be better with more options to place foot? Is there a most popular option of the double step models?

the one w/ the drop step is probably the opposite of what you're looking for.

    this is the other variant.

    5'8" isn't short
Maybe teach them how to slide sideways on seat facing outside, then slide off seat on to sliders or ground.
Sometimes it's easier to change the method rather than the hardware.

I love these retractable steps. Not cheap but they look great and work great and drop lower than anything else you will find.
