Seems like each one of them tries to build a better mousetrap for attaching it to the hook at the end of the wiper arm. Please Stop.

It feels like every time I go to a bar and order an Old Fashioned and the crafty young bartender says would you like a "Miner-Forty-Niner?" I "ask what's that" and these ill fated words trip off their lips.

"It's our take on the classic Old Fashioned but in stead we use..........." From there they explain how my Coffee is about to be secretly switched for Folgers Crystals. "We use fresh Argentinian Pomegranate Liqueur instead of Whiskey and then balance it with some lime juice and charcoal smoked simple syrup. Toss in a dash of titty-bitters and you have a Miner-Forty-Niner.

No. And now, Jacques, I can't trust you, so lets make it a Whiskey on the rocks and if you substitute my whisky for any thing that isn't whisky or my rocks for anything that's not straight up frozen H2O, then you are going to be filling out some OSHA paperwork in the morning about your little OTJ accident the night before. I'm very sorry you tripped and hit two or three liquor bottles with your face before coming to rest on the floor.

Same with the mechanism on the wiper blades. Hook style wiper arms are literally the easiest to replace. I'll bet dollars to donuts they have been on cars since the Model-T. but someone in the US Patent Office apparently keeps trying to over-complicate the process.

Hooks WORK - They just simply work. I don't need you to add a European Cock Shroud for "aerodynamics" and then omit the instructions or print them on the back of the box where you have to tear the instructions apart to get to the wiper.

And if you can't tell. I just replaced my wipers. I went with 5Plus because they are silicone wipers and less likely to melt and fuse to the glass out here in AZ. But yeah. It did not go according to plan. Now I need a whisky on the rocks.

    It could be worse.
It could be 17 degrees outside and you have to climb UP into an engine bay to change the wipers.
At least they are easy to get to on the Tacoma.

I agree 100%. My trico blade just folded and layed down when I turned on the wipers. The two piece mount came apart.
    The simple adapter always worked.

Eh. The little squeeze clip on Bosch wipers seems to work pretty well - been using them as long as I've owned cars, and they've always behaved. Then again, they seem to have arrived at something that works and stuck with it.

Use OE arms and OE refills.

They last longer and wipe better than any aftermarket magic I've ever tried (several).

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
I have only recently discovered that Toyota wipers allow you to replace only the 'refill' blade. My family is now in possession of 3 Toyotas. Is there a good way to find the part numbers for each model that will let me return the blades to stock?

    Here's a touch of a start.

Be SURE you have the OE frames in place before buying inserts. Based on the ages of those vehicles I'd guess you don't. So you'll need to buy the frame, which will include an insert to get started.
