    Hello!

Last year I purchased a used 2017 TRD Off-road and the previous owner (my old mechanic) had installed a Bilstien 5100 2in lift front and rear. Early on I noticed it looked like the rear suspension of the truck was decently lower than the front but at the time I had a few things in the bed so I chalked it up to extra weight in the back. But I parked it today and noticed the rear sagging quite a bit and I only have a single bag of quikrete in the bed. Does anyone have any insight on how I can get this thing to sit level? I’ve seen people mention new leaf packs but also curious about the bilstien lift that was installed as well.
Any help is appreciated as I’m not terribly well educated yet about car parts and the like.
I believe I have attached the image correctly…

You sure he didn’t just lift the front? Take a pic of the rear springs at the axle…

there is no Bilstein lift for the rear. Shocks don't set ride height, springs do.

If the rear was lifted it was via a leaf pack (obviously not), or maybe a block.

Mostly a street and light trail truck? Just lower the front.

Lift was probably blocks and he probably carried some weight in the back, too. The rear leaf springs on Tacomas are garbage, have been for years. Had mine replaced under warranty on my 2nd Gen. My 3rd Gen has IronMan 4x4 leaf packs under it now. They are closer to what Toyota should've done originally. Toyota shot for a car-like ride and missed. Oh, they are soft and ride more car-like, but carry any extra weight and they fail quickly.

Judging by the presence of rock sliders, you intend to run moderate trails with this truck? If so install add-a-leafs or upgrade leaf packs depending on budget. See: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-lift-faq-guide-read-this.11282/

Can you post a picture of the front suspension showing the shocks/coilovers? Also a picture of the rear suspension showing the leaf springs on the axle?

That would let us know if there's a lift up front or if the rear is still stock.

Also, truck is parked on a slight incline - look at the brickwork on the building in the background and the wheels of the truck. May be making it look worse than it actually is.

    Just my opinion

Look under the truck, the view to the curb doesn't lie. Also, the distances from the tire to the wheel arch suggests a pretty good sag.

The front is definitely not stock. The rear might be.

By the amount of sag, an AAL will be a band-aid fix for a couple of months at best. Those leafs are shot.

I'm not saying it isn't sagging, I just think the slope of the road makes it look worse than it MIGHT BE.

maybe all shocks were upgraded but they didn't put block in the back

Some people pay money to get that exact look. Rear looks stock height. Adjust the front to where you want it and then figure out the rear.IMG_8557.jpg
