67 years old I have put up with a lot of changes, oh sir, we don’t take cash. The T4R has that push button start, give me a 85 LC and a roll of cash . Time change has been going on for as long as I can remember. Back then it was like aliens had landed

Took off the step sides. They were in the way, extra weight, and I was slightly worried that they might actually catch if I cornered over something tightly. I can't find a brand name but they're going up for sale on FB this week. No idea what to ask for them.

Also discovered a decent gouge in a rear tire so tires are happening ASAP instead of whenever. Sigh.

Those look like the oem predator steps. Have them on my truck, also dont like them, but too lazy to bother removing them. IMG_0410.png

They're close but the steps are a bit different and the third rear most mounting bracket didn't actually fit the truck. The previous owner had just left it detached, another reason to get rid of them. I think maybe a double cab might have had the space for it but the AC didn't.

I think they are a generic Chinesium, these ones look identical...https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NPK1N49

I've got all the bolts and washers, I'm going to ask $100 and see if anyone bites.

Edit: it took 15 minutes and a socket to take them off, they were just bolted onto the body and they only weighed probably 15 or 20 lbs max. Yours might be more sturdy.

Make sure you get some body plugs or stainless steel bolts to cover/fill the holes.

Hit each hole with a spray of fluid film beforehand.

I saw one of the cool Chevy trucks in the parking lot the other day. Probably 4-5 years old, all jacked up and shiny as a new penny. But you could see the undercarriage, a lovely brunt orange, shocks, brake lines. Body parts were starting to get those cute little bubbles.o_O

If you knew what had to happen when you went to start a push button vehicle you would say,”that’s a lot of shit that can go wrong.”
