    Hello,
First time replacing the u-joints is my 1999 Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner, 2 wheel w/2.7 engine. It's a 2 piece drive shaft. I have a few questions.

    1) Are there 4 u-joints on the shaft? 2 in the yoke and 1 at each end?
    2) Are the yoke joints different sizes?

    Thanks,
    Joel

    Yes to both questions.
The front and rear joints are the same and commonly available. The two in the center "double cardan joint" are the same size but different than the front/rear joints and can be tough to locate in some places, they can be bought over the counter at three locations here in hick town Co. Toyota does not sell them at all, never did. Some folks struggle with the "tapered yoke" but it's never bothered me.

The joints in the center DC came in two styles, inside and outside clip and take a fair bit of special technique as opposed to the front and rear more typical process. Also, within the DC joint is a "centering ball" that came in two sizes with no hard and fast application to specific years/models. You have to measure it once apart.
I would not fool with the DC joint unless it has problems. To see what's involved check this out. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/double-cardan-joint.273119/#post-6745013
