Directly no, but pretty easily adaptable ones yeah, you don't need a clutch if you use an electric motor which is nice. You really don't need all the gears either TBH, most just use 3 or 4. I've looked into the EV swap a few times using Leaf parts and the AEM controllers. I came to the conclusion you have to be willing to think about it the way @6P4 has... It would be an around town rig mostly. You have the whole under hood area basically for batteries. But to remain a utility vehicle that's about all the room you get for capacity.

Did you look into ways to eliminate the original transmission? To me it seems silly to carry around a clutch and five gears that you don't need, but I'm not sure how you get appropriate gear reduction otherwise.

I think EVs use something in the 8:1-11:1 reduction range? If so, you could get to that using a Toyota transfer case in low range mated to a 3.9 or 4.10 rear end.

Or you can be like this guy and shift your EV just because you like it.

I'd probably keep the transmission myself, you could make a driveshaft sleeve adapter for the motor pretty easily but keeping the trans does allow for some convenience. Like fine pedal control (without needing to have computer adjustable controls always open on a laptop) in parking lots or hill climbing just by gearing down or up on the trans. Using the cheaper open source inverter controllers you can also negate the necessity for reverse brushless control and just use reverse on the trans. The 2wd W59 in a Tacoma weighs like 55-60lbs so it isn't a huge weight savings, you could shorten the driveshaft and move the trans mount rearward about 6-8" and shove nearly the whole electric motor in the trans tunnel to free up the engine bay for more control circuitry and batteries and in my case move the trans shift lever comfortably closer.

One thing of note though is you need a controller with adjustable regenerative braking delay to make shifting work without a clutch, even like a 1sec delay is enough... Otherwise you're always trying to shift on a load.

Alright, I kinda want to build one now

Love the idea of a little 5-lug EV swap for putting around town, getting materials, etc. and that looks like a super neat project in general.

Don’t think I’d want to EV swap my 4WD pig anytime soon since range is an issue for trips.

I like the idea on paper, but I think I'd probably get no use out of it because of the range issue too. Most of the stuff I do is so close by using gas is zero concern and anything else is gonna be hours away.

I think there is massive nerd-out rabbit hole potential for me with just fucking around with the inverters.

Certainly getting to the point where there is some fun stuff to play with, I think electric hits the right balance for me in a go-cart or motorcycle setting. The cars didn't do much for me, after slamming the gas pedal 100% a few times and realizing every acceleration was the exact same the fun wore off.

This is the biggest appeal to me--more efficient use of space. Fewer moving parts is always nice too. Less weight is probably third in line as far as benefits in my opinion.

I think any 5-lug would be an "around town" vehicle for me anyway. Long distances and interstate speeds don't sound fun in that truck regardless of engine, so reduced range doesn't seem like a huge loss.

I tried to play the first one but couldn't finish playing. I got bored and couldn't stick with it. My son loved it though.

That sucks, it's such a great play through and the bosses can be challenging too

Unfortunately, I can say the same thing about Red Dead Redemption 2

I hear it's one of the best storylines you can play for a single player, yet I find it starts off too slow so it never got exciting for me - I've yet to start back up again
