Hi yall. I am a member of the tacomaworld 1st gen forum and my neighbor just got his first Toyota, a 2007 Tundra Limited this past weekend. He is very excited.

We both have been researching things about these Tundras. My question to you is, who has upgraded to the larger brake calipers and
    1) was is worth it?
    2) did they make the pads and rotors last longer??

The original big brake kit was pricy but helped prevent the rotors from overheating and pulsating. My boss used to swap them over from each progressive 2nd gen he had.

The TRD kit is now out way out of production.

I personally don't think its worth it dollar for dollar anymore.

I do like the rear sway bar "mod" as it help with body roll on ramps and corners though.

The 2007 was known to have the most issues, but if its made it this far they've likely been dealt with.

Bishop, thank you for taking the time and for chiming in. Replacing pads and rotors isn't that bad of a deal every 30k. Simple job for the DIYER. I was thinking the same about cost-effectiveness and bothering to upgrade the calipers.
What do you think about the Akebono pads and rotors kit on Ebay for his Tundra?
