I don't want air bags or sumo bumps I want to focus on leafs. If this isn't possible, let me know, but please don't immediately jump to other solutions, let's try to keep the conversation on leaf springs.

I have a 3rd gen Tacoma that I tow with. I have a helper spring that does a pretty good job but is engaged at all times. What I really want is a overload leaf that will start at about 1" of compression from empty ride height.

Do these exist? If not, what about a full leaf pack that would have a stock-ish spring rate at normal empty ride height but have a much more aggressive progressive spring rate?

I think at that small of an amount of compression you'd have a pretty bad ride. Similar to folks who add the sumo/timbren's that leave about that much of a gap between them and the frame. The sudden change in spring rate at only slight suspension compression ends up being annoying.

I enjoy my full Deaver pack, they're a more gradual rate with their increased number of leaves, but even the lowest rated Expedition pack gives 2 inches of lift (on a 3rd gen, 3 on a 2nd gen), with 0-300 pounds of weight.

Some people have good luck with StableLoad. If you have a nice gap between your leaves and overload you could put this in when you need it, take it out when you don't.

$400 for some washers and flat bar? Do people buy this crap, you could make this with the contents of a recycling bin.

I don't, lol. But I know a LOT of people do. Just like a lot of people buy the RoadActive Suspension. I'd much rather get a proper leaf pack.

You’re not paying for the hardware, you’re paying for the tested/proven performance and the convenience of just buying, installing and having it work properly.

Looks like a delightful gimmick product. A spacer, how revolutionary, they mustve spent years in R&D.
