Rear wheels “locking up” on 2018 SR5 Doiblecab

    My local dealership has told me that it’s the emergency brake cables
    my investigation it Seems like a many 3rd Gen Tacoma owners are having the same problem Has anybody found out the answer to what’s actually causing this issue?

    I'll get this one started:

    Are you putting the emergency brakes on when parking after the brakes get wet in cold/freezing whether? If so, the shoes are bonding to the drums.

    Drive long enough to dry the brakes before parking.

    Seems to be a common problem, according to this site.

    Mind you I have never encounter this problem, only parroting what has been previously discussed.
