I just replaced my spark plugs on my 2016 tacoma V6 sport that has 215 000km on it. This is the second time I've replaced them since owning from new.

When replacing them, I noticed most had some oil around the threads which is leading me to think the valve cover gasket may need replacing. I haven't had any start issues, rough idle or anything that leads me to think the amount of oil is implacting the spark plugs but it would be best to solve it before it gets worse.

I've been searching online, but can't find any breakdown of this job online for the 2016 including any torque specs.

Does anyone on here have any information, or even if a comparable engine on older models would be a similar process.

I would not personally worry about oil on spark plug threads. If your intake manifold is leaking significantly, it will cause much more noticeable problems.

I feel like the presence of oil on an engine freaks people out like blood on a human body. What I worry about more is the lack of oil presence on my engines.
