Ever since new, my 21OR has had vibrations that occur around 40 mph during both acceleration and braking. I have always felt them under the seat or coming from the rear end.

I'm now at 42k and have always attributed the acceleration vibrations to the transmission problems a lot of people on here talk about, even though tuning, checking ATF level etc has never really fixed anything. The rear end vibrations were there while there while stock and with an AAL installed.

Recently I did some routine maintenance on the drum brakes (cleaned, greased, adjusted) and noticed something. I had both drums off and while turning one of the hubs I found that the hub would stick at one point in the rotation. Is this a sign of a bend in the rear axle? And could this be the cause of all of my speed-dependent vibrations?

Could be the cause of your problems. Can't say for sure. What I can say is that a sticky spot while manually turning the rear axle isn't normal. They should turn smoothly.
