I'm a big fan of the 3.0 HO batteries for good power/weight. The 6.0's are also nice. I have a 12 for the SDS max and I'll use it in the hole hawg if I'm on a building with wood framing. I was all about the 9.0's when they came out, but the ones I have are 8 years old and don't hold a charge very well any more.

I like being able to match the battery to the tool and task.

I keep getting tempted by these sales, but I really don't need more batteries. Then again, this forum isn't always about needs.

I know a few guys who have Harbor freight boxes and they all seem to like them. I have a smaller Craftsman bought around 2002, and it's fine. But, I'm thinking about getting something bigger and U.S. General is definitely a consideration.

I can't stand harbor freights 'pull tab sideways to release' drawer lock, and love the soft-close drawers on the husky boxes. The Menards/montezuma boxes have a more natural 'pull and lift' action that doesn't bother me, but I find I tend to leave drawers open more because they want a little more violence in closing force than I'm used to. But then some of the craftsman boxes have 'soft close', but it's more of a soft slide-catch-bang, where the drawer moves smoothly and slowly up to the soft close catch, and then snaps shut with 'sorry wind caught the door' kind of force.

Each one has it's own quirks that work better for different people.

 

I think on the harbor freight " Pull Tabs " you can take them off and still just open and close the drawers. They would act like the Series 2 drawers then.

Finally used the milwaukee air pump for tires. That thing is a beast. Murders the batteries. But surprised how well it worked.

That 12.0 battery is half the price of the deal.

 

Ordered. Had no service where I was at before. Just in time for spring.

 

Damn good deal. I want the 12.0 Forge but I already have two of the tools. Hopefully they start to combo that battery a little more often. I already bought a HD12.0
a few ago and still think it’s insane what I paid for it.

I've heard good things about that. How do you like it?

 

Honestly I wouldn't leave home without it now. It works great. Filled a flat tire on my work truck in About 2mins up to 42psi

 

Oh yeah that inflator holds its own. Invariably end up filling 6-7 tires after trail runs, my own plus friends who bought cheap compressors

 

I bought a case for the compressors. Think i paid like 25 for the case off Amazon


I plan on buying a tire repair kit to put in that case also

I was eyeballing a stubby M12 at HD today with 550 LB/FT of torque! I already have 5 Milwaukee impacts. But, I really want that new one!
